Authors publishing repeatedly in predatory journals: An analysis of Scopus articles

Scholars engage with so-called predatory or questionable journals for many different reasons. Among the contributing factors are monetary payoffs and possibility of fast track faculty positions promotion. It has been claimed that tracking promotion by using publication outlets is an increasing problem. This study analyses authors publishing in a focus on repeatedly journals. In this study, set indexed Scopus was used. The data included 243,396 authorships articles reviews published from 2004 to 2021 169,742 unique authors. finds 55% publish one these only once, 34.5% 2–5 times journals, 6.3% them 6–10 times, 4.2% more than 10 times. Furthermore, mean median number correlated Finally, do not confine themselves also validated as well.
